20/11 IPOs & Triple MB Analysis

IPO Checklist

Whilst there are no players we expect to fly today there are a few forwards that have been in good form that may be worth a low-risk hold if you are able to purchase close to their IPO prices. Also worth issuing a warning on Ramiro Funes Mori who is out injured for the next few months.

Antonio Sanabria, Real Betis, £0.80

The 21 year old has scored 7 goals in 581 minutes in La Liga this season hence his high estimated average score. As a forward playing for a mid-table La Liga side, he will also likely have a relatively high amount of low competition Performance Buzz gamedays over the course of the season.

Clinton N'jie, Marseille, £0.80

Whilst it didn't work out for him at Tottenham last season he is now back in Ligue 1. He has scored 5 goals so far this season. Similar argument for him as Sanabria in that he is likely to have several low competition PB gamedays over the course of the season.

Santi Mina, Valencia, £1

More of a player to monitor for a few weeks before purchasing as he has been used mostly as a substitute this season. Scored and played 90 minutes yesterday but it is worth waiting to see if he is given the full 90 minutes again in the next few games.

Assessment of Potential Media Buzz gains over the Transfer Window

During the last international break, lots of traders benefitted from triple Media Buzz but with the next international break not until March we took a look at last seasons fixtures to see the distribution of triple MB days across the year. With the majority of triple MB days coming during the international breaks the only month without international football with a considerable amount of tiered MB days being January. This, of course, coincides with the winter transfer window so the benefits of picking up transfer linked players ahead of January are obvious.

Assessment of potential media buzz gains over the transfer window using last season as a guide

We have taken the Jan transfer window and preceding 2 weeks (17th Dec-31st Jan) to look at potential media buzz wins over that period for the season 16/17 as a guide for this season.

Over the period:

·       Of the 46 days there would have been 14 triple media buzz days

·       There would have been a total of £3.70 available to win through media buzz had triple media buzz existed

·       Top dividend earner would have earnt £0.61 (Diego Costa) under triple buzz rules

·       4 players would have earned in excess of 20p (Payet, Zlatan, Rooney, Alexis). Two of these had significant transfer news (Payet, Rooney)

Good luck trading today!
